In this performance, I activated my tent installation. I sat inside the tent, only speaking Portuguese and gesticulating. I invited two English speakers at a time inside the tent, offered brigadeiros, and, after we ate together, I thanked them for coming and said goodbye. Through the performance, connection, warmth, and intimacy prevailed despite the language barrier.
Nesta performance, ativei minha instalação em forma de tenda. Eu me sentei dentro dela, falando apenas português e gesticulando. Convidei duas pessoas de língua inglesa por vez para entrar, ofereci brigadeiros e, após comermos juntos, agradeci a presença e me despedi. Ao longo da performance, prevaleceram a conexão, o acolhimento e a intimidade, apesar da barreira linguística.
