The sculpture originates from the struggle to communicate while code-switching. The work emulates a pedestal with a tongue sculpture on top, which represents the polished version of external communication. The inside of the pedestal holds the messy realm of thoughts, where one tries to conceive a coherent expression, and the impossibility comes along with a knotted feeling of being tongue-tied.A escultura surge da dificuldade de comunicação ao alternar entre diferentes códigos linguísticos. A obra emula um pedestal com uma escultura de língua no topo, que representa a versão refinada da comunicação externa. O interior do pedestal abriga o reino caótico dos pensamentos, onde se tenta conceber uma expressão coerente, e a impossibilidade disso vem acompanhada de uma sensação de nó na garganta, de estar sem palavras.
