The plaster hand is camouflaged on the wall, in a dimly lit corner, at the height of a pocket or purse. The hand grabs a wallet containing two bills of equal value: five dollars and five reais. The wallet contains a torn two reais bill in the paper mache, referencing the divergence of values between currencies and the hidden values inherent in money. The expression "um roubo" in Portuguese means a high price; "a steal" in English means an exceptionally low price. The same expression, with the opposite meaning, reflects on the subjective value of money.
A mão de gesso está camuflada na parede, em um canto com iluminação tênue, à altura de um bolso ou de uma bolsa. A mão agarra uma carteira contendo duas cédulas de valor igual: cinco dólares e cinco reais. A carteira abriga, em seu interior de papel machê, uma cédula de dois reais rasgada, fazendo referência à divergência de valores entre as moedas e aos valores ocultos inerentes ao dinheiro. A expressão "um roubo", em português, significa um preço elevado; "a steal", em inglês, significa um preço excepcionalmente baixo. Essa mesma expressão, com sentido oposto, reflete sobre o valor subjetivo do dinheiro
