The sculpture originates from the struggle to communicate while code-switching. The work emulates a pedestal with a tongue sculpture on top, which represents the polished version of external communication. The inside of the pedestal holds the messy realm of thoughts, where one tries to conceive a coherent expression, and the impossibility comes along with a knotted feeling of being tongue-tied.
